In 2012 the founders got tired of the monotone bar scene and uninspiring cocktail selection in their home town. After collectively 40 years of working in other bars they decided to open their own, setting new standards for what a guest should expect. They named the first bar No Stress after the beloved streetwear shop “Stress” which used to occupy the same space.

Since then they have tried, learned and refined many variations and concepts, but the core values that made No Stress succeed are all apparent in the building blocks of each success:

Bargruppens bars should always make other bars work harder to keep their guests. Not because our mission is to “steal” their guests, but because we are willing to work harder than anyone to make them come back!

Bargruppen is “Raising the bar”, in regards to what guests should expect from a bar, this way we help raise the level of the whole industry. The guests are by far the most important part of any venue, and the growth of the company is dependent of the whole team feeling the same way. The guests must feel welcome, get great serves and a perfect atmosphere. Every time.

The Barguppen bus

Everyone in Bargruppen has a seat on the bus, and the bus is going far. This particular bus runs on one type of fuel; returning guests.

You have been hired because we believe in you and your talent for creating positive guest reactions.

With that being said we expect that you want to develop your skills and strive to make your team the best at making guests return.

<aside> ☝ If you like the bus, and the direction it's heading, we hope you stay on. However, there are no extra seats on the bus, each seat is there for a reason. Not everyone is right for our particular kind of bus, and won’t stay on it for long. Thats why it’s important that you are honest with us, and yourself, so you don’t waste your time on the wrong bus.

If the journey sounds interesting to you and you want to make a career with us, learn by those sitting in the front seats and take an extra look at this page.

As the bus is getting bigger it will have more seats. We need experienced trusted people to take responsibility and occupy these seats.
